SPIRITUAL & SOCIAL LEADER OF THE PUYANAWA TRIBE
Puwe is one of the spiritual and social leaders of the Puyanawa tribe. A biological sciences graduate and teacher, he dedicates his work to preserving the indigenous culture and spiritual traditions of Brazil. He has been working with sacred medicine for 16 years. He is also involved in reforestation work on the devastated land on his reservation.

ARTISAN & DAUGHTER OF THE PUYANAWA LINEAGE OF LEADERS
Rosane TXUKU KAYTXI, daughter of Puwe and Vari, and granddaughter of Mário Mãpa, historical leader of the PUYANAWA people and of the Indigenous movement in Acre in the 1980s and 1990s. Txuku is an artisan, singer, composer, and painter, and has been initiated in the spiritual traditions since she was a child with her parents. She, along with other young people from the community, consecrates the medicines of the forest, seeking the strengthening and preservation of culture and spirituality. Txuku, brings the feminine strength and wisdom and carries with her the teachings of the spiritual leaders and her ancestors.
